• The Forgotten Art of Icons For Web Forums -- by rionka, 2025 ✮⋆˙
people used to make matching sets of avatar plus signature picture [sig] and sometimes it was truly a work of art. it's awesome to see the evolution in the design of these tiny little squares, from the simplest crops through the technicolor filters, light leaks, textures and effects to almost symbolic designs in pop art style. you can truly see the difference in styles and all the immense creativity, effort and devotion of many evanescence fans from the past. i love it so much.
• Amy Lee Quotes
-- "I was always a drama queen. I remember playing in the kitchen, trying to get my mom to think I was dead and call the police. When she didn't, I would cry. I was always theatrical. I don't think any of my relatives are surprised."
-- "When you go through tragedy, you can either let that destroy you and you become bitter and never let it go, or you can let it make you stronger and let it make you grow. And that's what I did. My lyrics are coming from a place that I want people to relate to and feel that they're not alone."
• Third Album: New Message by Amy!
"Now the album is going to be even better than it would have been had it come out last year, like we originally planned. I know how long you’ve been waiting, trust me. It’s taken some real blood, sweat and tears to get here, and last week when we got the green light we were DEFINITELY celebrating. This is the real thing. The album will be out this fall. (and no, it’s not a ‘techno’ album. Its an Ev album, and it rocks hard.)"
• Evanescence's return: Maquinaria Festival 2009
On the 8th of November 2009, over 40.000 screaming fans of rock gathered to the Maquinaria Festival in Sao Paulo Brazil, for a one time performance by hard rock band Evanescence. • Opinion Article: Is Amy Lee REALLY such a good role model? -- by DramaKweenie, 2009
But, people have often said that maybe she's not the right person to be looking towards when your feeling your life has reached a block.
"She talks about suicide and death in her lyrics. She's constantly wearing black gothic type clothing, and as for her make-up... it speaks for itself."
So the question is: Is Amy Lee from Evanescence really the right sort of person that we girls should be looking up to?
